The Auckland Web Meetup’s October meeting - Flash and Web standards, yeah right. Their site is great and has heaps of video from previous meetings. Maybe I could commute.

Another event protesting the construction of a motorway through one of Ireland’s historic sites, the Hill of Tara. “The sites currently under threat are inextricably linked with the harping and bardic traditions for more than 2,500 years.”

First meeting of ZamDes, a WPF and Silverlight user group based in Wellington run by designers for designers. I know next to nothing about Silverlight, but I think it’s a Microsoft Flash-like thing. Looking forward to knowing more, especially as it’s being said that MS Silverlight and Flash are emerging as the head-to-head players for online video.
