This blog is a place for me to share my ideas and interests, so far mainly web-related, but to get an idea of what’s covered check the tags page. I post about events, mainly in Wellington, and the odd review as well.
I’m a web developer, mainly working on front end (HTML, CSS, making websites look like what the designer intended) and accessibility. I’m good at detail.
I also do some information architecture, website planning and project management from time to time. I like planning and building intranets - it’s a mix of cultural research, information architecture, and build which is very satisfying.
I have a Diploma in Fine Arts from Otago Polytech, Oamaru, where I did painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation, photography and video. There’s some links to my artwork and other creative projects at http://www.fleshion.co.nz. I also have a BA degree from Victoria Uni in social anthropology.
I live in Wellington, New Zealand. I’ve also lived in Dunedin and Oamaru in the South Island, but have not travelled much overseas. I love how the internet allows me to see and read about how things are in other places.
Cheers all
Rebecca Cox.
